Reporting a photo, and what happens next
Anyone can report a photo, video or message; serious reports hide it at once, the rest are looked at within two working days.

Quick answer
Anyone at an event can report a photo, video or message from the wall or the slideshow, without an account: pick a reason, add a line and send it to DropSnaps. Serious reports hide the item straight away; the rest are looked at within two working days, and repeated reports hide an item on their own. Organizers can remove anything from their own event at any time.

Anyone at an event can report a photo, a video or a written message, from the wall or the slideshow, without an account. Organizers can remove anything from their own event at any time. Here's how reporting works, what happens to a reported item, and what we do.
Reporting something
Open the photo, video or message on the wall and choose Report. Pick a reason (sexual content involving a child; nudity or sexual content; bullying, harassment or hate; violence, threats or self-harm; "it's me or my child, and I'd like it taken down"; spam, a scam or something else illegal), add a line if you want to, and send it. A quick check confirms it isn't a bot, and the report goes to DropSnaps, not to the organizer, so a guest never has to raise it with the couple directly.
What happens next
- Serious reports hide the item straight away, so it's off the wall and the slideshow while we look. The organizer can see it and put it back if the report was mistaken.
- Other reports are looked at within two working days. We remove anything that breaks the terms of use, keep what doesn't, and tell the person who reported it what we did if they left an email address.
- Repeated reports of the same item hide it even if each report on its own wouldn't.
Reports are kept for a year with the reporter's connection details removed after thirty days.
Removing things yourself
Organizers don't need to report anything: open your event's Photos tab, open the item and delete it, or hide a comment. If you'd rather see everything before guests do, turn on "Approve before showing" (the approving photos article explains it). You can also switch off comments and reactions for the event.
Illegal content
If something shared at an event appears to involve a child or is otherwise illegal, report it to us straight away and don't share it further. We act on such reports immediately and, where the law requires, report them to the authorities. The about page says who runs the service and how to reach us.
Questions people ask
Who sees a report?
DropSnaps, not the organizer, so a guest never has to raise it with the couple. Serious reports hide the item straight away and the organizer can see why.
How quickly are reports dealt with?
Items reported for sexual content or involving a child are hidden immediately and acted on straight away; other reports are looked at within two working days, and the reporter is told the outcome if they left an email address.
Can I remove a photo without reporting it?
If it's your event, yes: open it in your Photos tab and delete it, or hide a comment. Guests who want something removed can report it, or ask the organizer.
