About DropSnaps

Made and run in the UK by Redouble Digital Limited. Questions, corrections and anything else: hello@dropsnaps.com.

What DropSnaps is

DropSnaps gives an event one QR code. Guests scan it with their phone's camera, and their photos and videos go to the organizer's private gallery in full quality: no app to install, no account to create. Everything shows on a live wall and on a slideshow for the venue's TV, guests can leave a note in the guest book, and the organizer downloads it all afterwards.

It started with weddings, where the best photos are on fifty different phones, and works the same for parties, christenings, funerals, school and work events. There is a live demo to try as a guest, and the guides explain how couples and organizers use it.

Who runs it

DropSnaps is made and run in the United Kingdom by Redouble Digital Limited, a small company that also builds websites and advertising for other businesses. Email hello@dropsnaps.com and a person who works on the product replies, usually the same working day.

Prices are in pounds and include VAT, and every plan is a single payment for one event: there is no subscription and nothing renews. The pricing page has the plans and what each one includes.

Where the photos are kept

Guests' photos and videos are stored on Cloudflare's network, encrypted, and served only from the event's own address, which carries an unguessable key. Organizers can add a PIN, approve photos before they show and remove anything at any time. An event's photos are deleted when its plan's keeping period ends, or sooner if the organizer deletes the event. The privacy policy sets out what is collected, why and for how long.

Anyone at an event can report a photo, video or message, and reports are looked at within two working days; serious reports hide the item straight away. The terms of use explain the rules guests agree to when they share.

How the guides and comparisons are written

The guides are written by the people who build DropSnaps, from the questions couples and organizers ask and from what works at real events. Prices and facts about other services come from those services' own websites, and each comparison shows the date they were checked. There are no affiliate links, no paid placements and no made-up reviews or ratings, and where another service does something DropSnaps doesn't, the comparison says so.
