Terms of use

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms apply whenever you use DropSnaps (dropsnaps.com), whether you organize an event or you're a guest sharing photos. By using the site you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

DropSnaps (dropsnaps.com) is run by Redouble Digital Limited. You can reach us at hello@dropsnaps.com.

2. What DropSnaps does

An organizer creates an event and shares its link or QR code. Guests use it to share photos, videos and messages, which appear on the event's live wall and TV slideshow. The organizer chooses the settings, can approve, hide or delete anything, and can download everything. What's included depends on the event's plan, as shown on our Pricing page.

3. Organizer accounts

  • You must be 18 or over to create an account or buy a plan.
  • You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You're responsible for the events in your account.
  • Accounts are for people. Don't create them with bots or scripts.

4. Running an event

  • You decide who gets the event's link, QR code and PIN, and therefore who can see and share photos.
  • You're responsible for your event's settings and for looking after what's shared there: approve, hide or delete anything that shouldn't be there. If the slideshow is on a big screen, we recommend turning on Approve before showing.
  • If a guest, or someone shown in a photo, asks you to remove it, please do so promptly.

5. What you share

You keep ownership of the photos, videos and messages you share. You give us permission to store, copy, resize, convert, display and send them, only as needed to run DropSnaps for the event: to show them on the event's pages, wall and slideshow, to let the organizer (and guests, if the organizer allows it) view and download them, and to copy them to any backup the organizer connects. This permission ends when the item is deleted, except for copies people have already downloaded.

We never sell your photos, and we won't use them to promote DropSnaps without asking you.

When you share something, you confirm that you have the right to share it, that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights, and that the people in it would be happy for the event's guests to see it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use DropSnaps to share or store:

  • sexual content involving children, or anything that sexualises children. We remove it immediately and report it to the National Crime Agency;
  • intimate images of anyone without their consent, or any pornography;
  • anything illegal, threatening, harassing, bullying, hateful or violent;
  • anything that encourages or promotes suicide, self-harm or eating disorders;
  • anything that infringes someone's copyright or privacy;
  • malware or anything designed to harm devices or systems.

And don't:

  • use DropSnaps as general file storage, or to host images or videos for other websites, apps or posts;
  • use bots, scripts or scrapers, get around our limits or security, guess event codes or PINs, or open events you haven't been invited to;
  • overload, disrupt or try to break the service.

We may remove content, pause uploads, suspend or close accounts, and delete events that break these rules.

7. Reporting content

If you see something that's illegal or breaks these terms, or you'd like a photo of you or your child taken down, use the Report button (the flag) on the photo, video, guestbook message or comment, or Report a problem at the bottom of the event page. You can also email hello@dropsnaps.com with the event's code or link and a description, or ask the organizer, who can take things down straight away.

  • Reports come to us. The person who shared what you reported isn't told who reported it.
  • Anything reported as sexual content is hidden straight away, for everyone, while we check it. It isn't deleted unless it breaks these terms. Everything else stays up until we, or the organizer, have looked at it.
  • To stop the Report button being misused, every report goes through a security check, and there's a limit on how much one person can hide.
  • Sexual content involving children is taken down as soon as we see the report and reported to the National Crime Agency. Other illegal content is dealt with within 24 hours, everything else within two working days.
  • If you leave your email address, we'll tell you what we decided.
  • If you disagree with a decision about something you shared or something you reported, reply to our email or write to hello@dropsnaps.com, and we'll look at it again and explain the outcome.

8. Keeping people safe

DropSnaps is a UK service, and we follow the Online Safety Act. This is how we protect people who use it.

  • Each event is only for the people its organizer shares it with. There are no public profiles, no messages between users and no feeds or recommendations, so strangers can't contact you through DropSnaps.
  • Organizers can approve everything before it appears, add a PIN, stop their event being found by name, turn comments off and remove anything. Everything shared is deleted automatically after the event.
  • Terrorism content isn't allowed. We remove it as soon as we know about it and close the accounts and events involved.
  • Child sexual abuse and exploitation isn't allowed. We remove it as soon as we know about it, report it to the National Crime Agency as UK law requires, and close the accounts and events involved.
  • Other illegal content, such as hate, threats, harassment, intimate images shared without consent, cyberflashing, fraud or content encouraging suicide, isn't allowed either. We remove it as soon as we know about it.
  • DropSnaps isn't meant for children, but children are often at events. Content that's harmful to children, including pornography, bullying and content promoting suicide, self-harm or eating disorders, isn't allowed, and we remove it when it's reported or we find it.
  • We don't use automated scanning at the moment: we rely on organizers, reports from guests and our own checks.
  • To report something or to appeal a decision, see section 7.

9. Plans and payment

  • The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on our Pricing page.
  • Standard and Premium are one-off payments for a single event, with no subscription. Prices are in pounds and include VAT. Stripe processes the payment.
  • A paid plan applies to the event you buy it for and starts as soon as your payment is confirmed.
  • Paid plans don't limit how many guests take part or how many photos they send at once, but each event has a storage allowance (shown on the Pricing page) and a fair-use maximum number of uploads, which keep the service fair for everyone.
  • On Standard or Premium you can buy extra time: each purchase (£99) keeps everything 6 months longer. You can buy it as often as you like before the photos are removed.
  • Printed signs (table cards and entrance signs) are made to order with your wording and your event's QR code, and posted to a UK address. You see the price, including delivery, before you pay, and we email you when they're on their way.
  • We may change our prices, but never for something you've already bought.

10. Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel a paid plan within 14 days of buying it by emailing hello@dropsnaps.com. If your event hasn't happened yet, we'll refund you in full.
  • Your plan starts as soon as you pay, at your request. If your event has already taken place when you cancel, we'll deduct the value of what you've had, which will usually be the full price.
  • Refunds go back to the card you paid with within 14 days, and the event returns to the Free plan.
  • You can cancel extra time within 14 days of buying it for a full refund.
  • Printed signs are personalised, so they can't be returned because you've changed your mind. If you need to cancel, email us straight away: if your order hasn't gone to the printer yet, we'll cancel it and refund you. If signs arrive damaged, faulty or not as ordered, tell us within 14 days and we'll replace them or refund you.
  • If DropSnaps doesn't work as described and we can't put it right, you're entitled to a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. How long photos are kept

Photos and videos are kept for 30 days after the event on the Free plan, and 12 months on Standard and Premium after the event date (or after buying, if that's later), plus any extra time you buy. We email the organizer the morning after the event and again two weeks before anything is removed. After that, everything shared to the event is permanently deleted.

Deleting a photo, video or event is permanent. We can't restore it.

12. Looking after your memories

We work hard to keep DropSnaps reliable and your photos safe, but no online service can promise to be available all the time or free of faults, and we sometimes need to pause the service for maintenance. Please download your originals (organizers can download everything as a zip file) or connect a backup, and keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable.

13. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure or our negligence, but not for loss that wasn't foreseeable. We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaking your legal rights as a consumer.

If you use DropSnaps for a business, we aren't liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity, and our total liability to you for an event is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

14. Closing an account or event

You can delete an event at any time from its settings and stop using DropSnaps whenever you like. To close your account, email us from the address you sign in with. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used for abuse.

15. Changes

We may update DropSnaps and these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change significantly affects you we'll email organizers first. The terms in force when you bought a plan apply to that purchase.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live. Questions about anything here: hello@dropsnaps.com.
