The best wedding photo sharing apps in the UK, compared
Eight QR code photo-sharing services compared honestly: prices, free plans, video, guest books, live walls and what guests need.

Quick answer
The best wedding photo sharing app is one your guests can use without help: a QR code that opens in the phone's browser, with no app or account. Then compare full-quality originals, video, a live slideshow, a guest book, how long photos are kept and the price in pounds. DropSnaps, Guestpix and GuestCam include all of these on paid plans; POV and Lense work like digital disposable cameras with a set number of shots per guest.
Questions people ask
What is the best wedding photo sharing app in the UK?
There isn't one best app for everyone. For most UK weddings, choose a service that runs in the browser (no app for guests), keeps full-quality originals, takes video and shows prices in pounds. Our comparison table shows what each one includes, checked on 7 October 2026.
Is there a free wedding photo sharing app?
Several have free plans for small events. DropSnaps lets you collect up to 50 photos free, and Guestpix and Wedibox up to 50; Kululu allows 100 uploads but keeps them for 7 days; WedUploader is free if the photos go into your own Google Drive. Most free plans leave out video.
Do wedding guests need to download an app?
Not with most of them. DropSnaps, Guestpix, Wedibox, GuestCam, WedUploader, Kululu and Lense all work in the phone's browser. POV uses an App Clip on iPhone and a web page on Android, so guests don't install the full app either.
Is Wedibox worth it?
It suits couples who want a wedding website, RSVPs and a guest book in one place. Its own help pages say guest photos over 4 MB are compressed before upload, so if full-quality originals matter most, compare it with services that keep originals untouched.
There are now plenty of services that collect your wedding guests' photos with a QR code. They look alike at first glance, but they differ in the things that matter on the day: whether guests need an app, whether you get the original files, whether video is included, how long photos are kept and what you'll really pay in pounds. We've compared eight of them below.

The services, one by one
DropSnaps
Guests scan a QR code and share photos and videos from their phone's browser, with no app and no account. You get a live wall and a TV slideshow for the reception, a written guest book where notes can come with a photo, moment tags that sort photos into albums, an optional PIN and approve-before-showing, and one zip download of every original.
Good for: couples who want photos, videos and messages in one place, in full quality, at one price in pounds with VAT included.
Watch out for: video is on the paid plans, and the Free plan is for a small gathering. There's no audio guest book or RSVPs.
Guestpix
An Australian service with packages for each kind of event. Guests use a browser, with a PIN-protected link or a "Magic Link" that skips the PIN. Paid wedding packages include video, a live slideshow, written and video guest books, approval before photos appear, and a zip of the full-resolution files. There are digital invitations with RSVPs and over 180 Canva templates for signs.
Good for: couples who want invitations and RSVPs alongside the gallery, a video guest book, and lots of sign designs.
Watch out for: prices show in US dollars until you switch currency. The Classic package has a 3-month upload window and 200 GB of storage; Signature (£69) gives 12 months and 400 GB. Photos are stored in North America.
Wedibox
A US service built around a wedding page: guest uploads, a written, video and voicemail guest book, a live slideshow and a wedding website, with RSVPs and a seating chart on the All-in-One plan. The free plan has no time limit.
Good for: couples who want a wedding website, RSVPs, seating and an audio-style guest book in one place.
Watch out for: its own guest help says photos over 4 MB are compressed before they upload, so you may not get the original files. The free plan has no video, slideshow or download, and prices show in US dollars until you switch.
GuestCam
A US service that runs entirely in the browser, for guests and hosts. Unlimited guests, photos and videos on both plans, original files with no compression, a zip download, an optional password and optional approval before photos appear. Its guest book is audio: guests leave voice messages from their phone.
Good for: big weddings with lots of video (files up to 9.8 GB) and couples who like the idea of voice messages.
Watch out for: there's no free plan, and the prices shown are sale prices. Uploads close after 6 months on Standard.
WedUploader
A US service that sends guests' photos and videos straight into your own Google Drive. The basic upload page, QR code and printable signs are free, and albums never expire. A £39 premium upgrade adds a gallery, live slideshow, written guest book and voicemails.
Good for: couples who already pay for Google storage and want the files in their own Drive from the start.
Watch out for: your Google Drive is the limit: Google's free 15 GB fills quickly with video. The slideshow and guest book need premium.
Kululu
A US service for events of all kinds, with a live photo wall on every plan, including the free one. Pro adds approval before photos appear and an automatic filter for unsuitable content.
Good for: parties and short events that want a free live wall on the night.
Watch out for: on the free plan uploads close after 24 hours, photos are kept for 7 days and they're slightly compressed. Paid plans are priced in US dollars before tax, Plus is capped at 500 uploads, and access ends after 3 months (Plus) or a year (Pro).
Lense
A Dutch "digital disposable camera": guests take photos in their browser and can upload from their camera roll, and you choose whether the album reveals straight away or later. Every event includes a live photo wall and approval before photos are shown, and photos are stored in the EU.
Good for: couples who like the disposable-camera game of limited shots and a delayed reveal.
Watch out for: guests get up to 25 photos each unless you add unlimited captures (£9.99), video is a £9.99 add-on with clips up to a minute, and the price goes up with your guest count.
POV
A US "digital disposable camera" app. The couple sets up the event in the POV app; guests join through an App Clip on iPhone or a web page on Android. You choose how many shots each guest gets and when the photos reveal.
Good for: a disposable-camera feel with a set number of shots and a big reveal.
Watch out for: prices are in US dollars by guest count, the live slideshow is part of the business package, and POV doesn't say on its website whether video or original files are included. Its privacy policy says the service is intended for visitors in the United States.
How to choose
Count your guests. Lense and POV charge by guest numbers; the others charge one price per event.
Decide on video. Speeches and the first dance are better as video. Check it's included, and how big a file can be.
Ask for the originals. If you want to print or frame guests' photos, you need the full-quality files, not compressed copies.
Check how long you have. Two dates matter: how long guests can keep uploading, and how long the photos are kept.
Compare the real price. Look for prices in pounds with VAT included, and whatever you'd add on for video or extra time.
Try it first. Most offer a free plan or a demo. Scan the code, upload a photo and see what guests will see.
